Nesco Resource has partnered with an industry leading recycling company to identify a TECHNICAL PRODUCT ENGINEER in their Shelton CT location
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Act as Technical Product Engineer for assigned systems and products, both hardware and software. Performs tasks related to the evaluation, design and/or modification of equipment with a view to optimizing its operation and performance (mechanical and automation aspects). Interface with Customers/Sales to collect unique or new product requirements/specifications. Acts as being part of The Center of Excellence to advocate our client's America (TNA) requirements. Works as liaison across departments to ensure customers needs are met. Ensure that product conforms to specification and TNA business requirements. Act as a team member with regard to product quality and reliability. Ability to understand electronics and electromechanical systems / automation. Lead analysis, root cause investigations, corrective action planning and implementation for product quality issues. Interface with managers, technicians, IT and customers on a regular basis. Acts as local project engineer for specific market requirements. Ability to collect and analyze product performance data and utilize to continuously improve product performance. Manage vendors and outside parties to ensure deadlines are met. Participate in Engineering Change Orders and documentation changes. Fluent and proficient with MS Office Have strong troubleshooting skills. Ability to travel to support installations throughout North America. Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE BS degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent / automation. Experience in the design, development, and analysis of complex electrometrical & automated systems Knowledge and understanding of electromagnetic, laser, and electromechanical technologies is preferred Experience in quality management, manufacturing methods and procedures, market introductions and performance improvement s in technical products.
