Marketing - Market Research Analyst

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly analytical Market Research Analyst to join our dynamic team. You will play a key role in providing crucial market insights to drive strategic decision-making across the organization. In this position, you will leverage your expertise in data analysis, competitive intelligence, and market research to develop robust market models, conduct in-depth competitor analysis, and manage market research projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Market Analysis & Modeling:
    • Develop and maintain comprehensive market and revenue model projections
    • Continuously refine market modeling for improved deliverables (market book, reports, competitive profiles)
    • Analyze market data, identify knowledge gaps, and become a subject matter expert on diverse databases
    • Translate data into actionable insights with strategic importance
    • Contextualize analytical findings within the existing research landscape
  • Competitive Intelligence:
    • Lead and contribute to competitive monitoring initiatives
    • Derive and communicate competitive insights on global competitors (traditional & emerging)
    • Provide timely competitive insights reports and alerts
    • Conduct ad-hoc analysis of key competitor moves for deeper understanding
    • Build relationships & communication channels with affiliates for competitive information exchange
    • Attend industry events and provide synthesized reports
  • Market Research Management:
    • Partner with stakeholders to understand data needs and information gathering options
    • Manage vendor relationships and streamline access to customer, physician, and healthcare stakeholder insights
    • Oversee vendors and internal teams to ensure project alignment and delivery

Ad hoc Projects:

  • Collaborate with Lifecycle teams to develop and communicate insights from multi-source data (research, competitive intelligence, financial data)
  • Contribute to initiatives like market assessments and "fact bases to support strategic discussions
  • Manage competitive workshops, scenario discussions, and leadership forums to share market and customer insights

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree, MBA, or Ph.D. in business or life sciences preferred
  • Experience in life sciences, pharmaceuticals, or medical devices (diagnostics experience a strong plus)
  • Consulting experience a plus
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience preferred
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with data analysis tools
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
