We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Engineering Manager/Project Lead to join our dynamic team and lead strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing productivity, product quality, safety, and profitability in our alloy steel business. In this role, you'll manage projects such as new machine integration/upgrades, drive upgrades, camera installations, etc. No PLC programming. Nothing over 1000V.

Salary: $87,000-$141,000 (awarded based on experience level)

Schedule: On-Site in Canton, OH (relocation package is available)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage strategic engineering projects aimed at increasing plant productivity, improving product quality, and optimizing manufacturing processes.
  • Conduct technical, economic, and risk assessments of ideas and projects to define project objectives and resource requirements.
  • Supervise internal engineering teams and collaborate with external engineering firms to develop and implement innovative solutions.
  • Establish and maintain standards of quality and safety to ensure project effectiveness and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Mentor and develop junior engineers to build a high-performing engineering team.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability, efficiency, and performance.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, maintenance, and procurement teams to achieve project goals and objectives.
  • Provide technical support to manufacturing operations and assist in developing reliability tactics and continuous improvement projects.
  • Lead initiatives to update standards and procedures related to electrical safety, maintenance, and design.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 7 years' experience in equipment design, project management, and/or personnel management., or Masters Degree in Engineering with 5 years of experience in project management/equipment design.
  • Extensive knowledge of electrical engineering principles and their application in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading and managing complex engineering projects from conception to completion.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
