POSITION: SENIOR CONTROLS ENGINEER (Field Operations)
Job Summary: We're seeking an experienced Senior Controls Engineer to join our dynamic team. The role entails overseeing all aspects of electrical design, programming, and implementation of control systems for industrial processes and machinery. As a Senior Controls Engineer, you'll lead projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to enhancing our control systems' efficiency and effectiveness.
Salary: $93,000-$133,000/Year
Job Duties:
- Review quotes, budgets, and conceptual designs for compliance with customer specifications.
- Develop and design control system architecture for industrial processes and machinery.
- Configure, program, and commission PLCs, HMIs, industrial robots, and peripheral devices.
- Lead kickoff meetings, design reviews, Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs), and project status meetings.
- Generate detailed technical documentation, including system specifications, wiring diagrams, Bill of Materials (BOMs), and user manuals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
- Liaise with vendors and suppliers to facilitate project progress.
- Develop and execute test plans to validate control system functionality.
- Provide regular project updates and reports to stakeholders.
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies in control systems and automation.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to enhancing existing control systems.
Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate degree in Electrical or Control Systems Engineering.
- 6 years of experience in controls engineering with a focus on industrial automation.
- Proficiency in PLC and HMI programming, with experience in industry-standard platforms (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens).
- AutoCAD electrical design proficiency.
- Strong understanding of control system design principles and industrial communication protocols.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Familiarity with safety standards and regulations in industrial automation.
- Advanced knowledge of electrical codes.
- Ability to travel domestically up to 70%.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to pass physical, drug, driving, and background checks.
- Ability to physically push, pull, and lift 50lbs or more.
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.

Preferred Qualifications:
- EPLAN experience.
- Programming experience with Fanuc, ABB, Kuka.
