Base Salary: $65,000-$70,000/yr.
Schedule: 7:30am-4pm 

Job Summary:

The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for overseeing all aspects of customer product development, from initial quoting through shipment. This role will involve developing process routings for customer jobs, interpreting customer engineering prints, quoting molds, fixtures, and work holding devices, as well as troubleshooting the manufacturing process. The Manufacturing Engineer will also be tasked with investigating equipment and resource needs to support manufacturing operations and contribute to the strategic direction of the company.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop process routings for customer jobs, ensuring efficient and effective manufacturing processes.
  • Interpret customer engineering prints and generate accurate quotes for molds, fixtures, and work holding devices.
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing processes to identify and resolve any issues or inefficiencies.
  • Investigate equipment and resource needs to support manufacturing operations, including but not limited to equipment, coolant, cutting oils, and tooling.
  • Contribute to the strategic direction of the company by providing insights and recommendations based on manufacturing expertise and industry knowledge.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Proficiency with CNC Swiss, CNC Milling/Lathe, and Rubber Molding processes, required.
  • Strong understanding of dimensioning and tolerancing principles.
  • Prior experience in subcontract manufacturing environments is desirable. 
  • Experience with quoting and estimating manufacturing costs is desirable.
  • Understanding and familiarity with 6 Sigma Lean Manufacturing, FMEA, helpful.
  • MS Office Suite, CAD SolidWorks experience, CAM MasterCAM or Partmaker, experience, desired.
  • MS Office Suite and Syteline experience, desired.
