Nesco Resource is in search of an Electrical Engineer to join our client's team at their Stratford, CT location. This is an opportunity to work on a groundbreaking project to engineer a state-of-the-art, personally owned submarine.
JOB DESCRIPTION
In need of an Electrical Engineer (EE) to oversee the integration of lithium-ion battery modules into a marine electric vehicle system. This project involves interfacing with an existing Battery Management System (BMS) manufactured by EWERT, specifically the Orion BMS2 with expansion modules. The batteries will power two UQM / DanFoss PP250 electric motors and will be charged by two PP250 electric generators driven by John Deere diesel engines. This project is a prototype for single-personal use rather than mass production.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Hands on integration of a battery charging interface into the electrical system.
- Utilize existing components while potentially recommending additional components and tools/equipment necessary to complete the project.
- Work closely with project management to ensure project goals are met within the specified timeline.
- 3 years of experience in high-voltage DC applications, specifically in battery charging and management systems.
- Strong understanding of marine electric vehicle systems is preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- 3- 6 month temp assignment with the possibility of extension based on project needs
- Onsite, 1st shift, Monday – Friday, 8am – 3pm (30 minute lunch)
- Pay range: $40/hour
