Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Conformal Coating Technician to join our production team. In this role, you will apply protective coatings to circuit boards and electronic assemblies, ensuring precise coverage and high-quality standards in a clean manufacturing environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Apply coatings to printed circuit boards (PCBs) and assemblies to ensure protection and performance.

  • Read and interpret technical drawings, labeling diagrams, and mixing ratios for accurate application.

  • Operate coating and dispensing equipment (e.g., PVA machines) in accordance with customer specifications.

  • Mask and tape designated areas to prevent unintended coating application.

  • Inspect completed assemblies for uniform coating coverage; perform manual touch-ups as needed.

  • Maintain and clean coating machines, including fluid changes, mixer replacement, and general upkeep.

  • Perform encapsulation of discrete assemblies as required.

  • Apply potting, bonding agents, lubricants, insulating spray, or tape as directed.

  • Transport circuit board racks between production stations.

  • Safely handle chemicals, solvents, and process fluids; replenish materials as needed.

  • Retrieve and transport tools, materials, and supplies within the facility or from local vendors.

  • Complete required training on coating, encapsulation, safety, and handling procedures.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support production goals.


Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar coating, encapsulation, or spray application role.

  • Experience with detailed spray-painting techniques is strongly preferred.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical prints and documentation.

  • Proficiency with basic computer applications for documentation and machine operation.

  • Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity for precision touch-ups.

  • Ability to follow safety protocols when working with chemicals and machinery.

  • Must be able to read and write in English.

  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment medical exam.


Work Environment:

  • Hands-on manufacturing floor with regular exposure to chemicals and solvents.

  • Requires standing for long periods, lifting, and repetitive manual tasks.

  • Adherence to strict safety, cleanliness, and quality control standards is required.
