Operate through-hole or surface mount technology (SMT) automatic assembly equipment to produce high-quality complex printed circuit board assemblies. Responsible for setup, operation, and routine maintenance. Tasks include manually or semi-automatically screen printing solder paste, operating adhesive dispensing equipment, and loading components supplied in tubes or reels onto feeders and placement equipment. May hand place some SMT components and place assembled printed circuit boards into solder reflow ovens. Use standard electronic hand tools such as solder, flux, and adhesive. Utilize schematic diagrams, drawings, visual aids, and other instructions to identify defects.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform semi-routine SMT, inspection, and AOI equipment setup, operation, and adjustment.
- Utilize other Surface Mount Technology equipment such as X-RAY and stencil printing.
- Work independently and manage tasks efficiently.
- Adapt to working on different lines day by day with similar tasks.
Work Schedule
- 2nd shift: Monday to Thursday, 3:30 PM EST - 2:00 AM EST.
- Overtime available on weekends.
- No transfer to 1st shift available.
Requirements
- Ability to read and write English.
- Pass a medical exam as outlined in the supplier guide.
- Machine operator experience is beneficial.
