Position Title: Production Operator (2nd Shift)
Shift: 2nd Shift | 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM (Overtime as required based on production demands)
Pay Rate: $17.00 per hour
Position Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Production Operator to monitor plastic injection molding machines in a team-based manufacturing and assembly setting. This role involves inspecting, packaging, and handling plastic components, while ensuring a clean and safe work environment in compliance with company policies and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Primary Duties:

Monitor injection molding presses and related auxiliary equipment.

Perform visual inspections of plastic components.
-
Label and package products per provided packaging instructions.

Maintain cleanliness of the work cell in accordance with 6S standards.

Access Real-Time System for scrap entry and productivity tracking.

Conduct final audits of finished products.
Secondary Duties (Lead Operator Support):

Print and apply product labels.

Support the Non-Conformance Report (Client) process as needed.

Assist in verifying and completing first/last shot sheets.

Help supervisors with machine assignments and shift change communications.

Scan finished goods to the appropriate pallet label.
Requirements:
Education:
-
High School Diploma or GED required.
Skills & Experience:

Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

Basic computer skills.
-
Strong attention to detail.

Basic math and reading proficiency.
-
2 to 3 years of plastic injection molding experience.
Physical Requirements:

Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, reach, push, and pull.

Must be able to:

Occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.

Frequently lift 10–25 lbs.

Consistently handle up to 10 lbs.

Must be able to read computer screens and written documentation, with accommodations if necessary.
Working Conditions:

Safety glasses required during specific tasks.

Exposure to fumes, dust, or mist in manufacturing areas.

Primary work in an office setting with regular time on the manufacturing floor.

Minimal travel may be required.

Must possess a valid driver's license.
