We are an automotive sheet metal fabrication company located in the Dublin, Ohio area, and are seeking welders to manufacture parts using sheet metal.

We are looking for energetic individuals with sheet metal welding experience, preferably in a manufacturing or job shop setting.

Monday-Friday 8a-4:30p with OT as Needed

Pay Rate $19.00- must pass weld test

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • MIG and TIG welding, including the following:
    • Setting up welding equipment for voltage, current, gas flow, torch angle, tungsten dia./sharpness etc. depending on the various thicknesses of aluminum, steel, and stainless-steel material to be welded.
    • Creating quality welds according to blueprints (weld symbols).
    • Inspecting welds for accuracy.
    • Preparing product to be welded by grinding, drilling, milling, tapping and cutting.
 
  • Ensures use of safety glasses, steel toe shoes, and any other applicable PPE during operations.
  • Change wire, and other consumables, as needed.
  • Change gas tanks, as needed.
  • Responsible for the relocation of all welded products to the proper location.
  • Ensure all equipment is properly set-up and used in a safe manner, and that all safety devices are in use.
  • Operate fork lift, if required and trained.
  • Performs first piece inspections as well as all subsequent inspections.
  • Monitor equipment and request maintenance when required.
  • Perform simple maintenance and repair as required.
  • Cross-trained as back-up in other areas of the manufacturing plant, as needed.
  • Proper and accurate entry into the time and attendance system.
  • Tasked with other job-related duties as may be necessary to carry out the responsibilities of this position.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 1 years of experience in a manufacturing or job shop environment
  • Must be able to read blueprints, and use Vernier calipers and micrometer
  • Must have formal welding education (e.g. Hobart and Edison) or equivalent experience
  • MIG and TIG welding experience a must
  • Experience with stainless and aluminum a plus
  • Ability to analyze and interpret weld symbols
  • Good attitude and communication skills
  • Strong attention to details.
Education and/or Experience High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
