Job Description:
Perform polarization measurements of individual lenses using the Lens Element Optical Polarization and Retardance Device ( "Leopard”) metrology station.
Schedule: Full-time (40 h/w), ability to work off-shift (2nd, 3rd, weekends) support required as needed
Pay: $28/hr
Responsibilities:
• Work in a molecular cleanroom
• Handle precision optical components without damaging them
• Align components to rotation stage using mechanical indicators
• Use custom instrumentation and accompanying analysis software
Skills & Experience Needed:
• 2-3 years' experience in optics or manufacturing industry preferred
• Good hands-on skills with sensitive / fragile equipment
• Good working knowledge of Excel
• Coachable mindset
• Able to work independently once trained
• Good observation / analytical skills to know if/when something doesn't look right
• Experience with optical test equipment such as interferometers, spectrometers, lasers, and detectors
• Experience aligning optical systems including laser alignment and centering optical elements to tight tolerances a plus
• Ability to analyze and organize data
Education:
• Associate's degree preferred
• HS Diploma or GED minimum required with relevant experience
