Position Summary
The Medical Scientific Liaison (MSL) is a field-based role focused on driving client's Neurology strategy through scientific education and engagement with healthcare professionals and laboratory stakeholders. This role plays a critical part in building relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), supporting the appropriate use of Elecsys blood-based biomarkers, and facilitating scientific exchange to support earlier diagnosis and better outcomes in neurological disorders, particularly Alzheimer's Disease.
Key Responsibilities
Scientific & Educational Engagement

Educate clinicians, primary care providers, and laboratorians on disease state and Roche's neurology diagnostics.

Present scientific data in response to unsolicited inquiries and through planned engagements.

Prepare and deliver educational materials and presentations on neurology biomarkers.

Support HCP training for appropriate product use during launches.
Stakeholder & KOL Engagement

Establish and maintain strong relationships with KOLs, academic and community healthcare providers.

Execute territory engagement plans aligned with national and global medical strategies.

Attend and contribute to local/regional conferences, symposia, advisory boards, and webinars.

Collect, synthesize, and communicate field insights to internal stakeholders.
Collaboration & Strategic Execution

Collaborate closely with internal teams including marketing, clinical specialists, and medical affairs.

Co-develop and implement tactical initiatives such as evidence generation, conference planning, and publications.

Assist in trend analysis, customer engagement planning, and insight reporting.
Qualifications
Required
-
Advanced degree (PhD, MD, PharmD, MSN, BSN) and 3–5 years of relevant clinical, academic, or industry experience.

Experience in Neurology or a related therapeutic area.

Excellent communication, relationship-building, and scientific presentation skills.

Ability to travel up to 75%; must reside within or be willing to relocate to the assigned territory.
Preferred
-
1 years of MSL experience in diagnostics or pharma.

Prior experience in Alzheimer's Disease diagnostics highly desirable.

Strong understanding of the healthcare ecosystem and medical science.
This role reports to the Neurology Medical Affairs Lead and works in close partnership with marketing, clinical, and cross-functional teams to expand client's presence and impact in the Neurology diagnostics space.
