Job Description:
Designs, develops, operates, and maintains software and firmware components and computing systems software to be applied to and integrated with engineering scientific and manufacturing requirements. Applies the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the system development life cycle to support the generation of such engineering applications and produces such as laboratory simulations systems airplane flight control and display systems avionics mechanical and electrical systems, weapons armament, commercial and military aircraft systems, mobile and ground-based defense systems, space systems, and other systems and applications of this nature. Interfaces with customers suppliers' application users and other technical and support personnel.
Looking for a Software Engineer to support development, integration, and test of embedded software solutions. The candidate will work with the team implementing, integrating, and testing embedded software solutions. This will include development of both embedded software as well as test software used to integrate and test the embedded software devices.
Required skills:
Must have an active DoD Secret Clearance
Must work onsite-fulltime
Real-time embedded software development in Linux
C (modern C 11 or higher desired)
Multi-threading/multi-processing
Desired Skills:
Ability to interpret customer needs, work with the team to develop software solutions, product backlogs, and
provide technical feedback to the team
Experience with Agile/Scrum methodology
GitLab CI/CD pipeline, and JIRA/Confluence
GoogleTest or similar unit test tool/framework
Knowledge of Publish / Subscribe communication protocol Data Distribution Services (DDS) by RTI is preferred
Common Object Request Broker Architecture (CORBA), C-Make, Cameo Modeler.
Experience working with multi-disciplined teams
Excellent communication skills
Experience with software formal qualification testing (FQT)
Experience with software requirements/architecture/design
