● Reflect on How You Have Changed

The pandemic has deeply affected people in various ways, whether it's adjusting to working from home, sudden job loss, or the isolation of quarantine. It's likely a hiring manager may ask you an interview question like, "What have you learned about yourself?" so reflect on how you have changed. Frame it positively, such as increased resiliency or clarity on your passion for your work.

● Discuss Your Ability to Work Remotely

Even if the position you are interviewing for isn't intended to be full time remote, as many hiring managers witnessed at the onset of the pandemic, business continuity may depend on employees' ability to work remotely. Be ready to discuss your work-from-home setup (i.e., do you have a reliable internet and a computer with a webcam?) and familiarity with virtual tools (such as Zoom or Slack, for example).

● Highlight Your Adaptability

Being flexible is a more valuable asset than ever during the pandemic, as public health guidance can change quickly, especially depending on local case rates. And without a current definitive end in sight to COVID-19, employers may have to swiftly pivot their strategies to keep their employees safe while still being productive. Highlight your adaptability during your job interview responses - have specific examples ready to show how you've learned new skills quickly or switched up your work strategy to stay on track.

● Be Prepared to Discuss How You’ve Spent Your Time

Whether you've been unemployed or have had more time at home due to quarantining, hiring managers will likely want to know what you've been doing. Be prepared to discuss how you've spent your time, as it will provide insight into what type of personality traits you have. It doesn't necessarily have to be related to professional development - teaching yourself how to bake a complicated recipe or reading more books will demonstrate your work ethic and give a glimpse into who you are as a person and how you'll fit into the company culture.
