Nesco Resource is search of an experienced A/P Clerk for one of our clients based in Bethel, CT.
SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Accounting Operations Manager, the Accounts Payable (AP) Clerk is responsible for supporting the operations of the Accounts Payable function, including data entry of payable vouchers and facilitating the processing and distribution of payments for several corporate locations. The A/P Clerk is also actively engaged with accounting team members and business partners.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Matching invoices to PO's, coding and entering supplier invoices into ERP system.
- Process payments by check and electronic transfers while maintaining payment terms.
- Research and resolve vendor payment discrepancies, collect W-9 forms from suppliers, process expense reports.
- Ensure all invoices are vouched prior to month end and prepare accrual of invoices received after month-end for the accounting close.
- Assist with preparation and review of annual 1099 forms
- Conduct reconciliations of supplier statements.
- Contribute to month's end process.
- Other duties as assigned within the Finance department.
- Associate’s degree and at least 1 year of A/P experience.
- Skills in Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word; ERP systems
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, with little supervision in a fast-paced environment with a high degree of flexibility and tolerance of change.
- Outstanding organizational and analytical skills.

- Monday - Friday, core hours 8:30am – 5pm
- Pay: $23 - 25/hour
