Shift: Monday-Friday 7AM-3:30PM
Pay: $27-$30/Hour depending on experience
Position Overview: The Continuous Improvement Lean Assembler supports the design, construction, and enhancement of production work cells using LEAN manufacturing principles. This role contributes to optimizing production processes and driving continuous improvement efforts across departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and assemble LEAN-based production work cells to meet internal operational needs
- Support cross-functional teams on process improvement initiatives
- Implement employee-driven improvements that enhance safety, quality, ergonomics, and efficiency
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the LEAN and mechanical workshop areas
- Assist maintenance technicians with daily production support when needed
- Associate degree, or High School diploma with 2 years of technical experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with basic hand tools and shop equipment (e.g., band saws, drill press, miter saw); milling experience is a plus
- Working knowledge of LEAN principles and ergonomic best practices related to assembly tasks
- Ability to read both metric and standard tape measures and interpret basic technical documentation
- Demonstrated commitment to safe work practices and quality standards
- Self-motivated, organized, and able to prioritize tasks independently
- Strong problem-solving skills and a service-oriented mindset
- Capable of designing, building, and testing custom structures to support manufacturing operations
