Summary of the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Data Analyst to support implementation efforts related to system migrations and data transformations. This role involves working closely with project leads to transition data from legacy platforms into standardized operational systems. The analyst will be part of a high-impact data conversion team and report to the Director overseeing system integration and data transformation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Retrieve data from multiple source systems and convert it into consistent templates using tools such as Microsoft Excel, SQL, and Alteryx.
- Partner with project leads and external stakeholders to clean, map, and translate data for system integration.
- Prepare formatted datasets such as employee and carrier lists to support planning and configuration efforts during implementation.
- Participate in periodic on-site meetings during critical project phases to ensure alignment with external teams.
- Review and validate data through reporting and conversion tools to identify discrepancies or required clean-up actions.
- Lead data quality checks and milestone reviews to ensure timely and accurate delivery.
- Develop a thorough understanding of data flows across documents, transactions, and systems.
- Track and document any conversion challenges and work collaboratively to resolve them.
- Provide input to technical teams regarding tooling improvements needed for future conversion efficiency.
- Ensure project deliverables stay aligned with timelines and milestones outlined in the project roadmap.
Key Requirements:
Must-Have:
- 2–3 years of experience cleaning, mapping, and converting legacy data within a Brokerage or Insurance Agency Management Systems (e.g., BenefitPoint, Applied Epic, AMS360, Ziwave, Sagitta)
- Advanced Excel (pivot tables, lookups, formulas)
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and communicate clearly with stakeholders
- Strong interpersonal skills
Preferred:
- Alteryx experience for data transformation (used daily—can train)
- Familiar with SQL Server and ability to write basic SQL queries to extract data
- Previous involvement in data migration or system conversion projects
- Familiarity with Salesforce (not primary system used)
- Reside in Eastern or Central Time Zone
