As the Plant Electrician, you’ll be the go-to expert for keeping our manufacturing operation powered up and running smoothly. From installs to maintenance to solving complex electrical issues—you’ll ensure our equipment runs safely, reliably, and efficiently across all shifts. What You’ll Do:
This is more than just a hands-on electrical role. As the Journeyman Electrician, you’ll:
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on electrical systems, controls, and equipment including extruders, winders, and associated machinery.
- Troubleshoot and repair motors, drives, PLCs, sensors, relays, and control panels.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and manuals.
- Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and plant electrical projects.
- Ensure compliance with national and local electrical codes and plant safety standards.
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and maintenance teams to minimize downtime.
- Document work performed, update electrical drawings, and maintain accurate records.
- Support continuous improvment, energy efficiency, and reliability inititiatives.
Skills You’ll Bring:
- Journeyman-level electrical & mechanical experience – 5 years require
- State electrician license or certificiation
- Strong knowledge of motors, drives, PLCs (Allen Bradley a plus) and industrial electrical systems.
- Ability to work from heights, in confined spaces, and respond to emergencies as needed.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and commitment to safety.
