Summary: Our client is looking for a Junior-level Engineering to support backend systems involving PLCs and SCADA applications. This individual will support the progression of SCADA applications through lower environments and support backend systems that interface with plant floor operations. While plant floor experience is a plus, the role emphasizes backend systems knowledge and real-world PLC troubleshooting over floor operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the progression of SCADA applications through development and testing environments.
- Assist in analyzing and troubleshooting PLC behaviors and their impact on SCADA system outputs.
- Work closely with engineering teams to ensure logical PLC functions (e.g., if/else, if/then logic) are implemented and functioning as expected.
- Contribute to backend system support efforts rather than plant floor operations.
- Apply hands-on problem-solving skills to real-world automation and controls challenges.
- Basic understanding of PLC programming and logic statements, such as "if/else” or "if/then.”
- Knowledge of PLC task levels
- General understanding of what PLCs are capable of and their role in plant production systems.
- Ability to demonstrate real-world troubleshooting and application experience (not just academic exposure).
- Familiarity with the relationship between PLC behavior and SCADA system outputs.
