SUMMARY:
  • Prepare and coat received panel with solder resist, tool LPI artworks and expose panels to ultra violet to tack resist, prepare and hand screen legend for component identification, develops printed LPI from panels, and prep screen for solder resist and legend application
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Follow process work instructions
  • Reference traveler / prints for specific color, finishes and other process requirements
  • Set up and hand screen on table
  • Inspect repeat and tool new artwork received
  • Operates and monitors exposure unit
  • Set up, operate and monitor LPI developer
  • Inspect first article and final inspection
  • Final bake panels
  • Occasionally hand screen using epoxy ink
  • Set up and flood coat panels for LPI legend
  • Use balance beam for weight and measure
  • Wash stencil upon completion
  • Update Jobs in Prototrak, complete production log, sign/initial and date traveler, move job to next department
  • Verify panels meet specifications required on traveler and corresponding documents
  • Examine completed panel for defects
  • Notifies supervisor of machine or job problems
LEVEL DESCRIPTORS:
  • Knowledge- General knowledge of Screening practices and quality system requirements
  • Complexity- Solves problems of average complexity within own department
  • Scope- Errors in judgment would have a moderate impact on department
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Ability to complete job-associated paperwork clearly and effectively
  • Basic PC literacy
  • 6 months to 1 year related experience preferred, but not required
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • Lift up to 15 lbs. frequently, 50 lbs. occasionally
  • Must be able to distinguish between colors and finishes
  • Stand for extended periods
  • Walks frequently
  • Will occasionally be exposed to chemicals
AUTHORITIES:
  • Stop processing when non-conforming product or equipment is detected (notify supervisor or manager immediately)
  • Initiate corrective actions
  • Initiate continuous improvements
