Training Week: The day begins around 8:00-8:30 AM. After the initial training week, there is some flexibility within the general working hours of 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. This position requires a commitment of 40 hours per week with no overtime.
The role involves performing laboratory work, accurately measuring with scales, and operating complex equipment while adhering to safety and work instructions. Maintaining a clean work environment, along with strong reading, testing, and observational skills, is essential. The work is conducted in a powder coatings laboratory.
- Conduct laboratory tests or other laboratory tasks using both conventional and computerized machines and work aids.
- Perform laboratory work and tests in accordance with prescribed standards.
- Determine chemical and physical characteristics or composition.
- Set up, readjust, and operate laboratory equipment and instruments.
The usual requirement is two years of post-secondary education in a relevant field. However, some companies may accept a combination of equivalent education and experience.
