Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate various saw machines (e.g., band saw, circular saw, or automated saw equipment) to cut materials as per work orders.
- Measure and mark materials for cutting.
- Inspect materials for defects and ensure cuts are precise and meet quality standards.
- Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments to ensure efficiency.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of saw machinery.
- Follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE.
- Record production data and report any issues or malfunctions to the supervisor.
- Assist with material handling and stacking of cut pieces.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience operating saw machinery or working in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Ability to read a tape measure, blueprints, or work orders.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to lift up to [insert weight, e.g., 50 lbs] and stand for extended periods.
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
