Job Description: Sizing Operator
Sizing Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining equipment to size and shape powdered metal parts, ensuring they meet quality and production standards. This role involves making adjustments to machinery, monitoring the sizing process, and documenting production information. They also participate in process improvement initiatives and collaborate with other team members.
Key responsibilities of a Keystone Powdered Metal Sizing Operator:
- Equipment Operation: Operating sizing equipment efficiently and safely, including making necessary adjustments to maintain product quality.
- Process Monitoring: Monitoring the sizing process, utilizing measuring equipment, and maintaining control conditions.
- Quality Control: Ensuring that sized parts meet established quality standards and identifying and addressing any defects.
- Documentation: Legibly recording and maintaining accurate product and process information.
- Communication: Effectively communicating job-related information to coworkers, supervisors, and other relevant personnel.
- Process Improvement: Actively participating in continuous process improvement initiatives.
- Teamwork: Maintaining cooperative relationships with other functional areas and providing assistance with training.
- Following Procedures: Adhering to all relevant procedures and safety protocols.
- Housekeeping: Maintaining a clean and organized work area.
