The Construction Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for construction projects by analyzing blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation. This role collaborates closely with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and clients to develop comprehensive bids and budgets for both new and ongoing projects.

Review project plans, specifications, and related documents to develop detailed cost estimates

Quantify material, labor, equipment, and subcontractor requirements for bids

Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations

Prepare cost breakdowns, budgets, and bid proposals for submission to clients or stakeholders

Collaborate with project managers and engineering teams to refine project scopes and budgets

Identify potential cost-saving opportunities and risks

Maintain databases of historical cost information for future project references

Attend pre-bid meetings, site visits, and project walkthroughs as required

Assist in value engineering efforts and alternative design solutions

Ensure all estimates comply with company standards, safety regulations, and contractual requirements
Proficient with Autocad
