Desired skills:
· Must be detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
· Ability to work independently at times but also communicate with Internal and External Customers as well as other Department and Plant personnel daily.
· Must have good oral and written communication skills.
· Must have problem identification and solving skills.
· Competent computer skills, such as Microsoft Office Excel, Word and Outlook, and ERP System software applications.
· Must be available to work OT and Saturday occasionally, especially during Physical Inventory, Month End and as the needs of the business dictate.
· Bi-lingual a plus.
· International shipping a plus.
· Experience with DOT and shipping Hazardous Materials a plus.
Position Responsibilities:
· Assist in the creation, modification, and closing of pick tickets.
· Utilize Shipping Solutions software.
· Oversee International shipments to meet DOT, HAZMAT, and all regulatory requirements.
· Process daily departmental reports as needed.
· Review inventory and perform cycle counts as needed.
· Review processes / written procedures for continuous improvement.
· Audit freight invoices and approve for payment.
· Other responsibilities and duties as assigned by Supervisor or Logistics Manager.
