Nesco Resource is in search of a  PCB Manufacturing Engineer to join our client's team at their Brookfield, CT location.

Job Summary:

The PCB Manufacturing Engineer will ensure the manufacturing processes and equipment are capable of meeting or exceeding customer requirements.
 
Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Serve as Engineering Support for printed circuit board assembly and final quality control processes.
  • Makes process improvement recommendations and applies continuous improvement methods such as lean manufacturing to enhance manufacturing quality, reliability, and cost effectiveness of product design, materials and parts.
  • Troubleshoot new or existing product problems involving design, materials, equipment or processes.
  • Responsible for Engineering Change Notice activities including implementation, verification and documentation control.
  • Review product design for manufacturability and completeness.
  • Provide technical expertise or support related to manufacturing.
  • Maintains and assists with production work instructions.
  • Prepares and coordinates Technical Action Requests (TAR’s) for submittal to customer.
  • Train production personnel in new or existing methods and processes.
  • Supports calibration and maintenance schedules of machinery and equipment.
  • Works with other departments to expedite or resolve problems to understand and minimize bottlenecks, while also ensuring customer product requirements are met.
  • Performs job duties in compliance with the Company’s Quality System.
  • Participates in root cause analysis and corrective action investigations and implementations.
  • Participates in internal and external quality system audits as needed.
  • Maintains an organized and neat work area.
  • Other duties as required or assigned.
Required Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering required, preferably in Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Manufacturing.
  • Minimum: 1 to 3 years of direct experience in the Engineering Department of an electronic manufacturing organization, electronic high-tech or related industry.
 Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
  • Ability to read and interpret electronic and mechanical drawings and schematics and identify electronic components.
  • Knowledge of SPC/Process Controls.
  • Knowledge of soldering and assembly methods for electronic PCB/cable/harness/ electro-mechanical assemblies.
  • Strong organizational skills along with excellent oral and written communication ability.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of IPC-A-610 PCB Assembly Standards; IPC-A-610 certification a plus.
  • Demonstrated effective analysis and corrective action implementation techniques.
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office.
  • Able to speak, read and write using the English language.
Additional Information:
  • Direct hire with benefits
  • 1st shift, Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm
  • Salary range: $70 – $85K
