Interview Process:

Manager is willing to consider a new grad with an AAS in an Electronics or other Technology related field who has no experience. Manager is willing to also consider a candidate with no AAS, but they must have electronic test equipment experience (multimeters, signal analyzers, oscilloscopes, fluent in metric system).
Summary:
Collect, organize, analyze and graph data, publish reports, and maintain accurate records regarding products and testing systems.
• Support new product development and enhancements to existing products.
• Perform routine calibration, certification, maintenance, and troubleshooting of test equipment.
• Provide and maintain formal documentation of measurement procedures.
• Facilitate project completion with peers in the laboratory.
• Projects involved with:
- Perform testing in support of new product and process development, characterization, analysis, fundamental understanding, customer issues and requests, and manufacturing.
- Support development of improved measurement and experimental techniques for evaluating the performance of fiber and related systems.
Requirements:
Requires moderate understanding of the general aspects of the job and a familiarity with terminology and procedures. Follows previously defined procedures. Proposes and implements basic solutions to routine problems. Refers atypical or complex problems to others. Works under close site supervision. Provided instructions for routine work. Recommends actions to improve efficiency. Able to perform duties within prescribed timeframes and maintain confidentiality. Contacts are primarily within the immediate work group.
Desired Skills:
• Familiarity with optical and electronic instrumentation.
• Data analysis skills with Excel or other software package.
• Experience with optical fiber handling
• LabView and/or Visual Basic programming skills.

AAS Preferred in Electronics or other Technology Related Field
