Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate laser cutting machines according to specifications and work orders
- Load and unload materials onto the machine safely
- Inspect finished parts for accuracy and quality using measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.)
- Adjust machine settings to optimize cutting speed, power, and material efficiency
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of laser equipment
- Read and interpret blueprints, CAD drawings, and job orders
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety standards
- Document production data and report any machine issues to supervisors
Qualifications:
- Previous experience operating laser cutting equipment
- Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work
- Basic math and computer skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
