HC Assembly Supervisor

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervision of the department employees. Provide information and guidance to maximize the potential of each employee.
• Manage the work orders load paying attention to the schedule.
• Participate in the assembly of coolers, signs into the labor app to record jobs daily.
• Safely build heat exchangers using general shop tools.
• Supervise assembly of heat exchanger bundles including bundle layout, tubing, rolling and hydrostatic testing.
• Supervise final assembly and testing of heat exchanger including bundle, structural components and drive components (motors and props).
• Must read and interpret instructions and diagrams (blueprints).
• Ensure the product is built to the quality standard set by the company.
• Follow company policies and safety programs
• Balance labor for employees in each department.
• Communicate with shop manager when write ups are necessary.
• Ensure employees are punching in and out of ERP system correctly, they are logging into the different jobs correctly, and ensure they are logging rework when required.
• Schedule department overtime hours.
• Communicate with the Department Leads they have everything they need to complete the work schedule.
• Wok with Engineering/QC departments when changes may be needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of four (4) years previous manufacturing experience required.
• Prior air-cooled heat exchanger assembly production managing experience required.
Special Skills:
Reads and interprets instructions and diagrams (blueprints). Analytical Skills. Experience with hand tools, cranes, forklifts, tube rolling equipment, etc. all highly desired.
Supervisor Responsibility:
This position has supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment:
Non-temperature-controlled environment with loud noises, dust, dirt, and metal particles that are usually associated with metal fabrication shops. All employees are required to wear personal protective equipment to include noise/hearing protection, safety glasses with side shields, ((paint masks, respirator) when required) and OSHA compliant safety boots/shoes within the manufacturing facility.

- While performing duties of this job, the employee in this position is regularly required to stand for long periods of time. This position requires walking, the ability to reach, ascend/descend ladders, bend, kneel, and stoop. The employee occasionally will lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
