Job Summary:
The CAD Detailer will be responsible for detailing various parts and components to support automotive, aerospace, military, and industrial equipment customers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Application of CAD skills necessary to complete assignment requirements.
• Responsible for the verification of component details necessary to meet customers'
objectives, clearances, manufacturing requirements and functionality.
• Responsible to support department design and drawing reviews.
• Communicate job status to senior designer, engineering and management on a daily
basis.
• Assist the design department in other capacities such as in detailing and checking, with
guidance.
• Continuing education in CAD methodology and manufacturing process, etc.
• Responsible to support department Quality System and follow any procedures or work
instructions provided for assigned projects.
Education and Experience (required):
• Associate's degree from a college or technical school focused in mechanical
design/engineering or similar focus or minimum of 2 years product design and detail
experience in industry field.
Education and Experience (preferred):
• Related CAD training classes.
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities (required):
• Ability to present information and respond to questions from groups of managers,
clients, and customers.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in
situations where only limited standardization exists.
• Demonstrated geometric dimensioning and tolerancing capability.
