Position Summary:

Our client is seeking a Bilingual Recruiter to support end-to-end hiring efforts across North America, including Canada. This remote role will manage sourcing, candidate engagement, interviewing, offer negotiation, and occasionally hiring decisions for both full-time and temporary roles. The recruiter will work closely with hiring managers, HR Business Partners, and the broader Talent Acquisition team to ensure a seamless and strategic hiring process aligned with Staples' goals and employee value proposition (EVP).


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage full life-cycle recruiting for positions across the U.S. and Canada.

  • Source candidates using professional networking platforms and Boolean search strategies.

  • Utilize recruitment marketing tools and ATS to track and engage talent.

  • Partner with hiring managers to understand talent needs and drive hiring outcomes.

  • Facilitate interviews, evaluate talent, and support or lead offer negotiations.

  • Maintain regular communication with candidates to ensure a strong candidate experience.

  • Represent Staples EVP and employer brand with enthusiasm and accuracy.

  • Collaborate across TA and HR to support enterprise-wide talent initiatives.

  • Comply with OFCCP and all applicable employment law standards.

  • Leverage technology tools including AI/chatbots for scheduling and pre-screening.


Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of full life-cycle recruiting experience.

  • Fluent in French, preferably French Canadian.

  • Strong experience with Boolean search strategies and niche talent sourcing.

  • Proficiency with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and Microsoft Excel.

  • Familiarity with recruitment marketing platforms and tools.

  • Knowledge of U.S. employment laws and OFCCP hiring guidelines.

  • Experience with AI-enabled recruiting tools (e.g., chatbots, auto-schedulers).

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to assess talent and influence hiring decisions.


Preferred Attributes:

  • Previous experience supporting Canadian recruitment is highly desirable.

  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to "close the deal.”

  • High adaptability in a team-driven, collaborative environment.
