Heavy Duty Forklift Operator
Location: Sanford
Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Heavy Duty Forklift Operator to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating large-capacity forklifts in a busy industrial or manufacturing environment and will play a vital role in the movement of raw materials and finished steel products throughout our facility and yard.
Key Responsibilities:

Safely operate heavy-duty forklifts to load, unload, and transport steel framing and finishing products

Move large bundles of steel components, including framing, CRC, angle, and accessories, to and from storage areas, production lines, and trucks

Ensure materials are properly stacked, secured, and labeled for transport or storage

Perform routine forklift inspections and report maintenance needs promptly

Follow all OSHA and company safety regulations and procedures

Support shipping and receiving teams as needed

Maintain a clean and organized work area
Requirements:

Proven experience operating heavy-duty or large-capacity forklifts (8,000 lbs. or more)

Forklift certification preferred

Ability to work in an outdoor and indoor warehouse environment

Familiarity with steel or construction materials a plus

Attention to detail and a commitment to workplace safety

Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and work on your feet throughout the shift
Schedule:
Monday – Friday, 7AM-3PM
Some overtime and weekend shifts may be required based on production needs.
Compensation: $17
Hourly rate based on experience, with opportunities for overtime and advancement.
