The Parts Inventory Specialist is responsible for managing, organizing, and maintaining accurate inventory of parts and materials used in manufacturing operations. This role ensures that the production team has the necessary parts and supplies to operate efficiently and minimizes downtime by maintaining optimal inventory levels.
Key Responsibilities:

Maintain accurate inventory records for all parts, components, and materials.

Receive, inspect, and verify incoming parts for accuracy and quality.

Label and store parts in designated locations according to company procedures.

Monitor inventory levels and reorder parts as necessary to avoid shortages or overstock.

Perform regular cycle counts and assist with annual physical inventory audits.

Issue parts to production and maintenance personnel as needed.

Maintain clean, organized, and safe storage areas in compliance with 5S and safety standards.

Work with procurement and vendors to resolve discrepancies and track backorders.

Utilize ERP or inventory management systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) to update inventory transactions.

Prepare reports on inventory status, usage trends, and forecast needs.

Assist with the development and implementation of inventory control procedures.
