Nesco Resource has openings in the Lebanon Juncation area for a Bindery Operator. 1st and 3rd shift. Mon - Fri.
Job Duties include but not limited too:

The Bindery Operator 2 is responsible for the setup, adjustment, and operation of a variety of auxiliary and automated bindery machines used in the production of printed materials. This role involves working with complex equipment that may include multiple cutting heads, control panels, and interrelated components. Equipment operated may include, but is not limited to, inkjet and mailing devices, folders, cutters, collators, stitchers, drills, binding/gluing machines, and perfect binders. The Bindery Operator 2 ensures the smooth coordination of multi-function machinery to convert printed sheets into final products such as books, catalogs, manuals, magazines, and directories. This position includes inspecting equipment for safety, performing routine adjustments and maintenance, monitoring quality and productivity, and directing crew members through all aspects of the bindery process.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Set up, adjust, and operate a range of auxiliary and automatic bindery equipment with multiple functions and attachments.
  • Operate power-driven equipment such as paper cutters, collators, folders, and speed binders, often in combination with other machinery.
  • Oversee and direct the operation of automatic adhesive binding machines (perfect binders), including feeding, gluing, covering, and stacking.
  • Make necessary adjustments to synchronize multiple workstations within a single machine setup.
  • Monitor production to ensure high-quality output and adherence to project specifications.
  • Inspect equipment regularly for operational and safety issues.
  • Direct and assist crew members through various stages of production, offering guidance and instruction as needed.
  • Track and report on productivity and output metrics.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Education: Completion of 8th grade plus additional classes or equivalent educational background.
  • 2 to 4 years of vocational preparation, including setup and operation of bindery equipment.
  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division with whole numbers, fractions, decimals, and percentages.
  • Able to follow written and oral work instructions, recognize most used work-related words, and communicate using proper sentence structure.
  • Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions and solve problems involving multiple concrete variables.
  • Proficient in the setup, adjustment, and operation of a variety of complex bindery machines; capable of interpreting job specifications and maintaining machine accuracy and performance.


Physical Requirements
  • Ability to exert 20-50 pounds of force occasionally, 10-25 pounds of force frequently and up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects
  • Frequent reaching upwards
  • Exposure to a loud work environment
