Job Title: Data Entry Clerk – Production Environment
Shift: 1st Shift, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM (Monday–Friday, 40 hours/week; 30-minute unpaid lunch; possible overtime)
Type: Temp-to-Hire (based on performance and headcount availability)

Position Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Data Entry Clerk to support production operations by entering product status updates and maintaining accurate records using Microsoft Excel and Oracle. This role is based in a fast-paced production environment and requires frequent walking throughout multiple buildings to collect real-time production data.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect and input hourly production data into Excel spreadsheets with accuracy and efficiency.

  • Update and maintain production data in internal databases (e.g., Oracle).

  • Walk the production floor to gather data from various departments/buildings on an hourly basis.

  • Perform clerical and administrative tasks to support operations and ensure data accuracy.

  • Communicate effectively with production and operations teams.

  • Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized workspace.


Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in data entry, clerical work, or a similar role.

  • Intermediate Excel skills – must be able to enter, manage, and verify data accurately.

  • Comfortable with Microsoft Word and Outlook.

  • Ability to stand/walk for extended periods; must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

  • Experience in a warehouse or production setting is preferred.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to recognize and communicate issues promptly.

  • Effective time management and multitasking skills; able to work with limited supervision.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.


Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

  • Work is conducted in a production environment – this is not a traditional office role.

  • Must be able to walk between buildings frequently and stand for most of the shift.

  • Housekeeping tasks may be assigned.

  • Must wear required PPE at all times: steel-toe shoes, hard hat, lab coat, safety glasses.

  • Must arrive clean-shaven on Day 1 for respirator fitting – failure to comply will result in being sent home.
