Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Product Specialist to join our team in this DIRECT HIRE role. This role is critical in supporting our customers and office representatives by assisting in all admin roles as needed, preparing accurate, competitive quotations and proposals. The Product Specialist will leverage technical expertise, proactive problem-solving, and customer-focused communication to drive our team's success.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in all aspects of day to day admin roles
- Develop and prepare detailed quotations and proposals in response to customer inquiries using the ERP system.
- Analyze customer specifications, technical drawings, and RFQs to provide accurate pricing.
- Read and interpret electrical single-line drawings to accurately understand and fulfill customer requirements.
- Enter orders in accordance with the company policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with engineering, purchasing, and production teams to ensure pricing and scope accuracy.
- Engage directly with customers, office staff and sales managers to clarify requirements, address technical inquiries, and provide status updates.
- Maintain organized records of quotations, proposals, orders, and customer communications.
- Identify opportunities to upsell or cross-sell products and services to meet customer needs.
- Stay informed on product specifications and industry applications to deliver professional, knowledgeable customer interactions.
- Demonstrate a "get it done mentality by prioritizing tasks and ensuring work is completed promptly without delays.
Qualifications
- 2 years of experience in administrative office skills, sales, estimating, or proposal development, ideally in the electrical or industrial manufacturing sector.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a customer-centric approach.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with ERP/CRM systems is a plus.
- Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proactive "get it done mentality with a strong work ethic and commitment to completing tasks efficiently.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical single-line drawings and technical specifications to meet customer requirements.
- Experience entering orders in ERP systems and adhering to company order-entry policies.
- Must be able to work onsite.
- Ability to pass a preemployment screening.
