Job Duties
- Review work order for customer to prep order
- Inspect product quality (i.e. length, dents/defects, surface, etc.) and report any issues
- Lift various metal pieces to load up to 75 lbs. with assistance
- Bundle the products by following the packaging instructions for customer (methods may vary)
- Review work order, verify the completion of tasks and sign off on order
- Maintain work area and other duties as needed throughout the shift including
- Cleaning debris from products
- Basic housekeeping (i.e.: sweeping, wiping common work areas, trash removal, etc.)
- Perform any other assignments given
On-Site Training
- Use of proper PPE (i.e.: safety glasses, steel toe, ear plugs, gloves, etc.).
- Reviewing work orders
- Safety Rules and practices
- Proper operation of hand tools and use of safety equipment
- Packing and Scrap Codes
- Packing Methods and practices
- Wood Saw Operations & Safety practices
- Counting Methods
- Proper Lifting Technique
- Using Measuring Tools (I.e. rulers, measuring tape, etc.)
Requirements
- High school diploma, or equivalent
- Ability to read and write in English fluently with proficiency
- Ability to perform various physical tasks including extensive standing, walking, bending, kneeling, squatting throughout duration of shift
- Lifting 50 to 75 pounds with assistance, continuously
