Medical Call Center

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the main point of contact for patients, clinics, and healthcare providers for inquiries related to product orders and DME (Durable Medical Equipment).
  • Educate patients on medical products, including usage guidelines and delivery timelines.
  • Manage inbound and outbound calls, emails, and chat messages professionally and urgently.
  • Resolve customer concerns effectively while maintaining compliance with HIPAA and company policies.
  • Document all interactions and maintain accurate records in CRM or EMR systems.
  • Utilized basic knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 coding to support accurate medical billing and documentation. 
  • Collaborate with internal teams and escalate complex issues to management.
  • Monitor open orders and back orders, following up to ensure timely fulfillment.
Requirements:
  • 2-5 years of medical customer service or dispatching experience.
  • Experience in customer service or high-pressure call center environment, servicing customers via phone, email, and live chat.
  • Fluent in Spanish preferred but not required.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong organizational skills and professional demeanor.
  • Understanding customer service best practices.
  • Ability to sit at a computer terminal for extended periods.
  • Comfortable working in a moderately noisy environment (phone calls, online meetings, computer audio).
  • Must be able to regularly stand, sit, talk, hear, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, and keyboard.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision for computer work.
