Job Title: Machine Operator
Location: Henrietta, NY
Summary: Nesco is partnered with a leading manufacturing company seeking a dedicated Machine Operator to join their night shift team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, adjusting, and operating a variety of production machinery to create high-quality finished products. With moderate guidance from team leadership, you'll follow safety protocols, adhere to quality standards, and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement. This is a full-time temp to hire opportunity offering stability, growth potential, and a comprehensive benefits package once converted.
Shift: 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM, Monday – Friday
Pay: $18.00 – $20.00 per hour base rate, plus 5% shift differential
Core Duties & Responsibilities:
- Operate, adjust, and maintain production machinery in accordance with established procedures
- Follow all safety practices including use of PPE, safe lifting (up to 30 lbs), and immediate reporting of unsafe conditions
- Monitor quality of work and ensure compliance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and quality standards
- Read and apply instructions from work orders, drawings, manuals, and checklists
- Meet productivity goals and labor/machine efficiency standards
- Maintain clean and organized work area following 6S principles
- Collaborate with team to identify process improvements and support production goals
- Willingness to work overtime as needed to meet customer demands
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Minimum 1 year of manufacturing experience preferred
- Experience working with mechanical equipment and lean manufacturing practices is a plus
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
- Capable of lifting up to 30 lbs and working with hand tools safely and efficiently
- Strong attention to detail, quality-focused mindset, and team-oriented attitude
