PLC Programmer & Panel Technician

Are you a hands-on problem solver who also thrives on building smart, efficient systems? As a PLC Programmer & Panel Technician, you’ll be at the heart of our automation and electrical control systems—coding logic, wiring complex panels, and bringing equipment to life. This dual-role position combines technical craftsmanship with sharp programming skill, ideal for those who love working with both their hands and their minds.

From writing precise PLC code to assembling clean, high-functioning panels, you’ll directly impact the quality and reliability of the equipment we build. If you're someone who takes pride in doing things right the first time—and enjoys seeing systems you’ve built perform flawlessly in the field—this is the job for you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program and troubleshoot PLCs and HMIs, integrating components like VFDs and temperature controllers.
  • Interpret component documentation and blueprints to develop effective control logic.
  • Interface directly with customers—on-site and remotely—to resolve system issues or develop custom programming solutions.
  • Assemble and install electrical control panels using drills, grinders, and other tools to fit parts with precision.
  • Perform clean, accurate point-to-point wiring using crimpers, strippers, and wiring diagrams.
  • Use multimeters to test and validate control panel functionality and ensure compliance with electrical codes.
  • Maintain a high standard of safety, quality, and productivity in all work.

What You Bring:
  • A strong mix of technical aptitude and mechanical know-how; you can edit and troubleshoot program logic and wire a panel with equal confidence.
  • Attention to detail; you keep your work neat, precise, and well-organized.
  • Problem-solving mindset; you troubleshoot creatively and think ahead to avoid rework.
  • Blueprint and schematic literacy; you can interpret complex diagrams and translate them into real-world assemblies.
  • Customer communication skills; you're comfortable explaining your work and solving issues face-to-face or over the phone.
  • Familiarity with electrical codes and safe work practices is a must.

Why This Role Matters:
You’re not just building panels. You’re programming the brain behind the machine with the oversight of an experienced supervisor. In this role, your ability to wire accurately and code efficiently will keep operations running smoothly for our clients. Every system you build or troubleshoot helps deliver safer, smarter, and more reliable automation.

Safety-Sensitive Position Notice:
In accordance with the Oklahoma Medical Marijuana and Patient Protection Act (“The Unity Bill”), this role is classified as safety-sensitive.
