Salary: $24-$35 an hour based on experience
Responsibilities:
- Oversee packing, labeling, and documentation of shipments.
- Coordinate with carriers and logistics partners to schedule pickups and deliveries.
- Ensure timely and accurate shipping of all orders.
- Lead, train, and manage shipping team members.
- Assign tasks and monitor performance to meet department goals.
- Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Maintain accurate shipping records and logs.
- Collaborate with warehouse and inventory teams to ensure stock accuracy.
- Resolve discrepancies related to shipping and inventory.
- Enforce compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements (e.g., DOT, OSHA).
- Conduct regular safety checks and training sessions.
- Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies; recommend and implement improvements.
- Assist in developing standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Qualifications:
- 3 years of experience in shipping, logistics, or warehouse operations.
- Previous supervisory or team leader experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of shipping software and logistics systems.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift and move packages up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse machinery (certification may be required).
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to pass a preemployment screening
