Nesco Resource has partnered with a prestigious law firm in their pursuit to hire a Legal Assistant.. THis is a hybrid role to work 3 days/week in Uniondale and 2 days/week remote, Mon-Fri 9am-5pm. This role will support a team of attorneys whose practices focus on healthcare law, corporate transactions, and business/commercial matters.

Key Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of law firm experience required.

  • Prior experience in healthcare law and transactional corporate work is essential.

  • Proficiency in document organization and review, including indexing, summarizing, contract creation, stock option plans, and financial statement preparation.

  • Strong typing skills (minimum 55 words per minute) with excellent spelling, grammar, and organizational abilities.

  • Ability to multi-task, work independently, and collaborate effectively in a team environment.

  • Must be capable of providing comprehensive administrative support to attorneys.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Draft, format, revise, and proofread legal documents and correspondence.

  • Communicate professionally with clients and internal teams.

  • Manage and prioritize incoming emails and correspondence.

  • Answer phones and handle routine administrative duties.

  • Utilize iTimekeep to track attorney time entries.

  • Submit expense and reimbursement reports using Chrome River.

  • Scan, email, and maintain electronic documents.

  • Demonstrate a high level of professionalism and teamwork in all interactions.
