Job description
RESPONSIBILITY:
It is the responsibility of the Printer Operator to assist in any manner possible to meet customer (internal and external) requirements.
KNOWLEDGE:
- Must have reading, writing and math skills. Must be able to follow verbal and/or written instructions.
- Consult the work order and set up sheet to determine daily requirements for production.
- Set up printer according to specifications, using caution in proper selection of print dies.
- Manufacture according to customer requirements and product specifications.
- Test material and record results as required.
- Doff from machine when cycle ends.
- Complete all documentation required for machine operation.
- Clean and maintain the printers, dies, numbering heads, and area. Ink anywhere else other than the ink well and on the dies and number heads needs to be removed.
- Alert Supervisor or designee of any non-conformances.
- Complete changeover for next order.
- Conduct turnover with previous and following shift.
- Ensure requirements are met during manufacturing.
- Actively participate in elimination of problems through identification of root cause and corrective action.
