Job title: Machine Shop Supervisor with CNC/Manual Experience
Location: Norwalk, OH
Shift: 1st
Salary: $25 to $30 an hour
Job description:
- Manage machining employees and trains new associates.
- Oversees operation of machines such as lathes, grinders drilling and milling machines.
- Selects appropriate machine and settings for a given task.
- Reviews drawings, instructions, blueprints, or samples to ensure accurate production.
- Use measurement and math skills to ensure quality of precision on projects.
- Creates instructions or code to properly program the machines to perform precise functions.
- Works directly with scheduling to ensure delivery dates are met and plans proper sequence of tasks to complete the assignment.
- Monitors production, adjusts feed and other settings as necessary.
- Maintains inventory of completed products.
- Checks quality assurance and documents or discards defects.
- Identifies need for and performs machine maintenance and minor repairs.
- Communication with all department heads.
- Use forklifts/overhead cranes and other lifting/moving devices to maneuver projects
- Other tasks as assigned/required.
Job requirements:
- 3 plus years of machine shop experience operating, setting up and editing CNC and manual machines such as Lathes, Mills, Brake Press, etc
- CNC programming experience is a plus
- 3 plus years of supervisor/management experience
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs independently
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to pass a preemployment screening
