Accounts Payable Specialist 

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to manage critical accounting and clerical functions ensuring timely and accurate processing of accounts payable transactions. This role supports the finance team by maintaining vendor relationships and processing payments efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately code invoices, vouchers, and expense reports for entry into the financial system.
  • Communicate effectively with vendors via phone and email regarding invoice status and payment inquiries.
  • Prepare and process non-inventory purchase order requisitions.
  • Match purchase orders to incoming invoices and verify all supporting documentation.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies related to invoices and purchase orders.
  • Prepare batch check runs, wire transfers, and ACH payments.
  • Assist in month-end closing processes and prepare status reports.
  • Reconcile accounts by identifying and correcting posting errors or omissions.
  • Process remittance information from checks, drafts, and wire transfers to ensure accurate account crediting.
  • Respond to routine internal and external account inquiries and resolve issues.
  • Maintain and organize accounting documents, records, and reports.
  • Provide general support to the Accounting Department as needed.

Qualifications:

  • 3-4 years of experience in accounts payable or general accounting.
  • Proficient in 10-key by touch.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills for vendor interactions.
