Senior RPG Developer
We’re looking for a seasoned RPG Developer to join a stable, well-established IT team supporting core enterprise applications on the IBM i platform. This role is ideal for a professional who values autonomy, consistent work, and the chance to make a meaningful impact in a structured and collaborative environment.
What You’ll Do
- Maintain and enhance mission-critical business applications using RPG and DB2.
- Collaborate with a team of experienced developers to deliver reliable, well-documented solutions.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to maintaining and enforcing coding standards.
- Design and code effective technical solutions, recognizing and addressing system deficiencies.
- Translate design requirements and specifications into robust, high-quality code implementations.
- Conduct thorough unit testing and validate the functionality of work produced.
- Provide insightful input into the design of code components or sub-components.
- Manage your workload effectively, adapting to shifting priorities throughout the workday.
- Participate in an on-call rotation to provide system support outside of normal business hours.
What We’re Looking For
- 5 years of RPG development experience on IBM iSeries (AS/400), with advanced knowledge of RPG and CL.
- Strong working knowledge of embedded SQL within RPG.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field preferred; equivalent work experience will be considered.
- Experience in financial, insurance, or other data-driven industries preferred.
- Familiarity with structured change management processes and tools is a plus.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing policies and procedures.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative working style.
- Experience with additional development or system tools (e.g., Profound Logic products, ServiceNow, IBM Rational Developer for i, IBM System i Navigator) is beneficial but not required.

Salary: $95k-115k Yearly
