Position Summary:

The Senior Trust Associate (TA) is responsible for supporting a Senior Institutional Advisor (SIA)/Relationship Manager (RM) in the daily servicing and administration of a book of institutional client relationships. This role requires a blend of client service, transaction processing, and compliance oversight. The TA serves as the first point of contact for institutional clients and their service providers, ensuring the accurate execution of financial transactions and consistent delivery of high-quality service.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with SIA/RMs to service and monitor client accounts, including processing trades, transactions, and financial reporting.

  • Manage various cash transactions (wires, checks, deposits, transfers, securities trading) on a daily basis.

  • Monitor and act on cash overdrafts, uninvested cash, and ensure timely investment of funds.

  • Maintain a high standard of service delivery and support client retention and satisfaction.

  • Read and interpret institutional trust/custody agreements and other client documentation.

  • Proactively manage client relationships, acting as a liaison with clients, consultants, auditors, administrators, and other third-party providers.

  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements (e.g., ERISA, IRS, DOL, PBGC).

  • Maintain accurate client records and documentation using internal systems.

  • Support account onboarding, asset collection, pension payment systems, and other operational functions.

  • Participate in relationship reviews and assist in preparing government-required reporting.

  • Provide backup coverage to other Trust Associates as needed and support general administrative functions (e.g., deposits, mail sorting).


Required Qualifications:

  • 2 to 4 years of industry experience supporting corporate, non-profit, public fund, Taft-Hartley, or Native American clients.

  • Strong understanding of securities processing and bank operations.

  • Demonstrated ability in client servicing and administrative support.

  • Bachelor's degree in a business-related field or equivalent experience.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Kofax PDF, and financial systems.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with trust/custody, pensions, securities lending, commercial banking, and charitable accounts.

  • Familiarity with compliance reporting for government agencies (IRS, DOL, PBGC).

  • Public speaking or client presentation experience.

  • Strong advocacy or consultative skills in client support.

Reporting Structure:

Reports directly to the Team Lead Manager within the Institutional Advisors division.
