M-Th with OT as needed on Fridays
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Skilled TIG welder with in-depth knowledge & experience welding stainless steel with tight tolerances.
- Performs assigned welding tasks with proficiency.
- Interprets mechanical drawings, including weld requirement symbols.
- Performs process inspection, certification, and documentation.
- Performs preventative maintenance on equipment as required.
- Finishes grinding applications using manual and power tools.
- Performs work in a safe manner
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Must have at least one year TIG welding experience.
- Able to train others on appropriate welding methods and materials.
- Must have experience welding stainless steel.
- Must be a team orientated individual with a "can-do” attitude.
- Experience working in a manufacturing internment is preferred.
- Familiar with fundamental safety practices in a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrate proficiency in assigned welding techniques.
- Knowledge of wire and filler materials applications for various steel alloys, aluminum, and some exotic materials.
- Working knowledge of fixturing and weld set up parameters (amps, volts, etc.)
- Able to use conventional and precision measuring instruments.
- One year experience in various forms of welding
