Job Title: Legal Order Processing Specialist (Judgment Processing)
Schedule: Hybrid – Onsite 1 day/week, Remote 4 days/week

Position Overview:
This role is responsible for processing legal documents affecting client accounts in compliance with federal and state laws. The specialist will conduct complex account searches, apply legal holds, process garnishments, respond to legal entities, and mitigate monetary risk. This is a high-accountability position requiring exceptional accuracy, legal understanding, and decision-making capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform complex account searches in response to legal orders and determine actions to secure funds.

Apply holds and freezes on accounts according to federal/state statutes and court instructions.

Compose and submit formal responses ( "Answers to Complaints ") to courts, attorneys, and clients.

Process and document garnishments, levies, and court-directed fund movements accurately.

Review and log incoming legal documents, ensuring accurate assignment and ownership.

Resolve client and attorney inquiries and complaints regarding legal order processing.

Conduct quality control reviews on high-value transactions and sensitive data files.

Ensure compliance with court deadlines and internal policies in all document handling.

Balance daily transactions and assist in end-of-day APA processes.

Assist with training, team coverage, document retention, and workflow testing.

Provide leadership coverage in the manager's absence by overseeing workflow and escalations.
Required Qualifications:

Experience: 2 years in a financial institution preferred, with direct experience handling legal documentation and monetary transactions.

Systems Knowledge: Familiarity with Hogan, ViewDirect, CIS, JPex, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Lotus Notes.

Legal Knowledge: Strong understanding of legal orders including garnishments, levies, IRS/state tax levies, restraining notices, etc.

Technical Skills: High-volume 10-key input proficiency; strong general ledger knowledge and monetary balancing skills.

Communication: Effective verbal/written communication and strong reading comprehension of legal content.

Attributes: High attention to detail, professional under pressure, self-managed, and organized in handling case prioritization.

Compliance Awareness: Demonstrated ability to apply procedures and ensure confidentiality and risk management.
