We're looking for a skilled CNC Machinist to join our manufacturing team in Bristol, CT. In this role, you'll be responsible for operating CNC equipment to precisely shape metal and non-metal components. From reading technical drawings to ensuring quality output, your attention to detail and problem-solving skills will be essential in delivering high-performance parts that meet exact specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate CNC machines to perform tasks such as cutting, drilling, milling, boring, and broaching.

  • Read and interpret blueprints, setup sheets, and other documentation to determine machine setup and sequence of operations.

  • Calculate and adjust machine settings, including cutting speed, feed rate, and tool positioning, to ensure optimal performance.

  • Monitor machine operations and displays to identify issues and ensure proper function.

  • Make manual adjustments or input changes to programs to address machining problems or deviations.

  • Verify part dimensions using precision measuring instruments and computer-aided tools to confirm compliance with design specs.

  • Perform basic finishing tasks, including sanding, filing, or shaping machined parts.

  • Collaborate with supervisors and programming staff to resolve issues related to control media or setup.

  • Communicate with quality control personnel regarding unique inspection requirements.

  • Maintain a clean and safe work area and follow all safety guidelines.

  • Provide guidance to machine operators when needed.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Technical certification or one-year program from a trade school or college preferred.

  • Minimum of 3 years hands-on experience operating CNC machinery in a manufacturing environment.

  • Strong understanding of machining principles and the ability to read and interpret technical drawings.

  • Familiarity with standard measurement tools and inspection techniques.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage priorities efficiently.
